Academic support

Athletes below an overall C average or with a failing grade may still practice. Support may include tutoring, missing-work plans, teacher progress checks, mentoring, and family meetings.

Game participation

Academic or school-behavior concerns may lead to sitting part or all of a game while the athlete continues practicing and working toward agreed goals.

Return to full status

Completed work, tutoring participation, improved grades, and positive school behavior move the athlete back to full competition status.
